Nikolo Rozhok - Russian Orthodox Churches on lake Seliger

Nikolo Rozhok is very popular place, especially if you was Seliger visitor back in 1970th and 1980th. Uspenskaya church was built in empress Ecaterine time, in second half of 18th century. It is definitely barocco style with five heads, very popular in Russia in this time and then later on in Russian renaissance
At our days, you can simply stay at Hizhina hotel, which is about 4 kilometers away from Nikolo Rozhok village
We made the picture of the church in late November 2007 with some snow context behind
Church is in process of being restored to its initial form and at our time winter part was being painted to be opened soon
