Sobenskie Lakes Ozera: Seliger in Winter Photo article
 Evdokim Petrov
Berezovskiy Ples is the western branch of the lakes Seliger. It begins near Novie Yeltsi tourist base and sanatorium.
Sobenskie Ozera (meaning lakes in Russian) are very popular rowing route for the tourist boats from New Yeltsi - Berezovski Ples, then Zaluchie, Sobeni with volok back to Yeletski ples and New Yeltsi
Another popular rowing route is through Berezovski ples to Svapusche, then autobus to Novinki (we already described Novinki Church of Peter and Paul 1807-1822 in earlier photo articles), optional trip to Volgoverkhovye to the upper waters of Volga river, then down the lake Sterzh, Vselug, Volgo and then up the Selizharovka river to Selizharovski ples and then through Seliger all the way back to New Yeltsi
In this photo blog we are placing picture where Sobenskiye Ozera ends and the short spring or Protoka in Russian connects their waters with Berezovski ples near the village of Zaluchie. The nicety of the photo is the fact that we did it in earlier December of 2007
