Troitsa-na-Perevoloke - Russian Orthodox church: Trinity church, 1852 photo
 Evdokim Petrov
This is our favorite and in our opinion the most picturesque place on the lake Seliger, where the beauty of the Northern Russian nature is naturally and harmonically enhanced by Russian Orthodox church ruins
It is not easy to get there, you have to more likely rent a boat, as no transport or bus goes there and if you rent a car in Moscow, you still can not reach the destinations as there are no roads
You have to rent rowing boat in Neprie or New Yeltsi and cross Lake Seliger, please see map above. Then we recommend you to leave the boat on huge sand beach - if you are coming from Novie (New) Yeltsi, you should leave the boat on the Yeletski ples side. If you are coming from Neprie, then you may try to go to the Troitski ples side of the beach. The beach is really gorgeous, it is ancient volok, where tradesmen used to drag their trade boats from Eletski ples to Troitski (something like 100 meters) instead of fighting northern wind and working around Korovi peninsula
To get to the lake Seliger - follow Moscow-Riga highway, then in Rzhev turn to Ostashkov. In Ostashkov follow directions to Volgoverkhovie
