Medvedev Dmitri is preemnik of Vladimir Putin - independent overview
 Evdokim Petrov
Russian elections ended on March 2nd 2008, according to the expectations and Russian Federation constitution. As Russian people and former and current Russian passport holders, we would like to share our opinion on Russian president elections:

1. My Mother. When I visited her in November 2007, she simply told me that she is disappointed in current government and as all the real opposition is not admitted to participate in president election: Kasianov, Nemtsov, Kasparov, Yavlinski (who decided not to participate in president race). My mother in Russia simply told me that she will vote for Zuganov, which is probably fair, considering that Zhirinivski and Bogdanov are not real opposition. Zuganov as Communist Party, however is also not the best candidate in my opinion, as he is ideology oriented, but this is my subjective view
2. Medvedev Perspectives. As Russian people we really do not know what will be the future directions, as Putin seems to be shifting toward executive power, prime minister, and Dima is now the president. We really hope that relations with Georgia (our Christian Orthodox neighbor) will recover and improve to be on the same level as with Armenia and even Greece. At the same time we are very concerned about Serbia Kosovo concession to be independent "state"
3. Medvedev and Economy perspective. Currently oil prices are booming and in short term perspective we expect the same tendency. Gazprom should be successful enough to sustain similar status quo in the short term perspective
