Couple Bets on Psychic Cab Driver Predictions

Charlotte Williams, an 18-year-old nurse, got into a cab just after finding out she was pregnant. The driver confidently tells her: "You're expecting a baby." At that moment, she was not even showing obvious signs of pregnancy yet.
He then added to the prediction that the child is due on August 9. This was the exact date given to her by her gynecologist.
The taxi driver also added that the baby would be born five days late. He said the exact time of birth would be 11:10am on August 14.
"I was dumbstruck when he said I as pregnant," said Williams. She and her partner Tony Tony Penwarden have decided to bet on the mystery cabbie's predictions. They have staked ý5 at 1,000-1 with bookies William Hill that the baby arrives within ten minutes of the said time.
The couple is also betting ý30 at 14-1 on the baby being born at any time on August 14. This could win them ý420.With their current bets, the couple may win as much as ý5,000 if his predictions come true.
"The cabbie said he knew about these things,' says Penwarden. "If Charlotte and I win we'll put the money in a savings account for the baby."
Strange enough, Williams continues to use the same cab company regularly but has not seen the driver since.
