Increase on wages in Australia

Australia, August 2, 2010 - According to the recent report showed that the average yearly wages are predicted to increase by $8200 within the time frame of 3 years. Since the economy here at the land down under are still recovering from the shortage on skills employees. The June quarter Clarius Skills Index shows an up-and-coming skilled labour shortage is anticipated to drive a 5.4 per cent yearly increase in earnings over the next three years. Consequently, unemployment rates are predicted to get a lower percentage below 5 per cent by early 2011.
Clarius Group Chief Operating Officer Kym Quick said the findings presented important challenges in front for employers and policy makers. "The developments have some implications on interest rates, the population growth debate and decisions about temporary skilled worker visas. Currently there is a shortage in eight of the 20 skilled professional, associate professional and trades occupations measured in the index and a further two are on the cusp of a shortfall." The shortage according to the report is from the construction and engineering profession`. In accordance to the report there has almost 6300 construction that are reported on having a shortage.
