SAP Business One by its current set of modules gives you excellent financial reporting for just one company where user is logged on. However the fact that SAP B1 is recommended in multinational business environment and is localized in various countries including Canada, India, Russia, China and Brazil just to open the list ignited B1 deployment for numerous multinational companies.
We would like to suggest simple recommendation. Why don't you just implement GL entries consolidation into specially created company?
Balance Sheet report has its own secrets and tricks. One of them is multicurrency and another one is the requirement that Assets are always equal to the sum of Liabilities and Equity
The best way to abstract your IT department from BS related issues is to realize GL consolidation into fictitious company named Consolidated GL.' And in here you simply move all your newly recorded GL entries including the ones posted from modules (AR, AP, Inventory and others)
Second Opinion. When you got into the serious issues then the idea to get service from local consulting firm might be a candidate to be slashed in order to get job done
