SAP Business One Sao Paulo, Atlanta and Chicago Connections Faru Corporation
 Andrew Karasev
Multinational companies are interested in Brazilian subsidiaries in several aspects such as reasonably priced skilled workers, offering their goods to local consumers and businesses to name a few. Complicated tax percentages and formulas as well as such requirements as electronic invoice reporting to tax authorities make ERP system localization difficult to implement and maintain. SAP B1 could be recommended as it is supporting taxation and compliance in direct logic and through locally programmed add-ons. Business One is also compliant to United States regulations and it supports such functionality as 1099 and others
In our previous publications we described such solutions as Consolidated Financial Reporting, centralized B1 SQL and Application Servers hosting, User interface in American English and Brazilian Portuguese
In the past SAP was recommending its Business One to small and midsize companies. With versions 8.81 and 8.82 it looks like SAP is now recommending it to the companies where number of named users might be up to one hundred and even two hundred. This move is understandable as at this point SAP BO has more logic and the fact that it is hosted in Microsoft SQL Server indicates that from the SQL database processing side the number of daily transactions is not limited
System expandability and industry niches and verticals. Most of the accounting software brands are pursuing the strategy when code offer is covering the most important functionalities such as General Leger, Accounts Receivable and Payable, Inventory, Purchase Order Processing, to some extend Human Resources, Manufacturing, Service Contracts and Opportunity Management. However the software development company is breeding the generation of so called ISV partners who are programming extensions often referred as add-ons. At this point SAP B1 has most of the niches and verticals covered either in core or through add-on
